Mauro Moroni – Founder & CEO, Kaizen Invest Holding
Mauro Moroni is a visionary entrepreneur with solid experience in renewable energy, energy transition, and technological innovation. As the founder and CEO of Kaizen Invest Holding, he leads high-impact sustainable investments focused on clean energy, circular economy, and efficiency.
In 2004, he founded Moroni & Partners, which became one of Europe’s leading engineering consultancies in the energy sector, with over 15 GW of experience. The company’s success led to its acquisition in 2019 by the international group KIWA. Following the sale, Moroni joined the board of Kiwa Moroni, contributing to international strategy and M&A processes.
In 2007, he launched Esfera Energia, a software house for energy market operators, and later founded PVShield.com and GardenSharing.it, dedicated respectively to photovoltaics and outdoor tourism. PVShield.com was sold in 2019.
He has served as a Strategic Advisor to Tages Capital SGR, one of Italy’s leading energy funds, and sits on the Board of Directors of Italia Solare, the country’s largest solar energy association, where he coordinates working groups on green hydrogen and energy storage systems. In 2022, he founded Elettrica Wave, a startup focused on electric marine mobility, and is actively involved in BESS projects totaling over 3 GW.
An internationally recognized author and speaker, he has received awards such as “Captain of the Year – Europe”. A mechanical engineer with a Ph.D. in Energy and a Master’s in E-Mobility & Electric Powertrain, he combines strategic vision with a passion for innovation, investing in practical solutions for a sustainable energy future.
